The space institutes a vista of an open edge façade on the extended lengths of the floor plate. Hence allowing maximized daylight. The planning of this space is done keeping in mind the maximum utility of this to a advantage of the end user. By aligning enclosed space such as meeting rooms, board rooms, cabins, training room, service room, etc along the periphery of the building core. The design intent to open up free daylight to the open office zone. Another design feature is barrier free passage which forms crisp axises that can easily be ruled out from the floor plan. This not just being an aesthetic value additive also functions as a safety regulator following standard norms for fire exits with precision. This client, had a set of requirements in their demand list that had to be incorporated within the design one of which, maximum acoustic treatment i.e. more absorptive surface. Hence most of the surface are absorptive in one way or another even the ceiling! The open office ceiling is treated with acoustic spray plaster, all the flooring is in carpet and the passages even have acoustic panels for sound absorption.

Colors are given an upper hand in the aesthetic spectra as the design has maximum covered area of open office workstation. It was difficult to locate oneself at a given point, to ease out this confusion, zone were demarked with color as the main carrier. Blue, Green and Orange being the chosen ones. This color complementation was done through mediums of workstation screens and hanging acoustic screens the once lying in the respective color zone. This made it easy to map location through our color map! One more requirement from the client list was that they wished to have their Navi Mumbai office the look and feel of their tried and tested Chicago office. The approach expected that of a monochromatic grey theme with an industrial interior feeling, such as open ceiling, exposed services, raw equipments, etc. this was successfully achieved but with addition of color. Now this office space is no doubt industrial, with a punch of pop with adequate addition of pure tones of color.

The reception table is sculpted with awe and admiration to the product that the product that the company works for – MAPS. The reception table has backdrop of a 3d printed map in white along with wooden bottom with a HERE logo on it. A seamless set of 2 linear lights passes through horizontally at the ceiling feature. This entrance lobby which is a prime assembly point is a balanced assembly of lines in design as well. The cafeteria is yet another space that shares community spirit. The design of this space is enhanced with assembly of wood and earth tones. The feature wall behind the service counter has interesting pattern of hexagons which has an impressive dash of color to them. There is yet another eating area, the executive lounge, for the higher authorities inhabiting the office. This luxurious space is smartly placed as it is away from the common cafeteria, yet in close proximity to the pantry for hassle free and fast service.

Employees are given at most priority in the organization hence the client demanded for maximum comfort. From top quality ergonomic chairs, comfort light settings, maximum acoustic surfaces, and so on. The company also promotes multiple collaborative zones and public participation platforms. Hence the design houses collaborative area and town hall. A town hall is a raised platform which is used as an open meeting space, announcement platform, an open presentation point, etc as and when suitably required. The design also incorporates multipurpose training rooms. These training rooms have loose tables. These tables are free moving, hence can be arranged in desired patterns as per requirements where in use.

HERE offices all around have a common threads line of themes in color, it being grey. The office, if followed the same aspect would have been dull to follow. The design cycle of planning and execution of working enclosures along the core, allowing maximum daylight, and having a white tint ceiling with playful additions of color has not only aesthetically valued the space, but also psychologically helped in boosting the enthusiasm of the employee, rendering them to claim that they are exceptionally satisfied with the end product.
